It won't be long now, the glowing shades of fall are just around the corner. Don't you just love this season, the cooler late summer days and crisp mornings? I think of fall as a decorating season. Nature itself brings it's own beauty to the table and the new sights and sounds bring a casual feel.

Wendy is everywhere these days!

I got a chance to get down to Ms. Wendy's yesterday since I had not been there in so long. The store looks great and Wendy has some new dealers.

I can see that there has been some painting going on there as well and everything is really displayed beautifully.

All of us, who love old things, are kindred spirits. That is the common thread that helps us understand each other. When you come into Ms. Wendy's you see and speak of your love of antiques and how you want to decorate your homes, we know exactly what you mean.

The objects we surround ourselves with are gentle reminders of the past and we love them. When you enter our door we know that you love them too.

We love the character that is left on an item from years of use. New furniture can have a perfect, flawless finish, however old pieces with the edges rounded from wear, a handmade latch, or paint missing in certain areas . . . it makes you wonder, "where has this been in the past? Who may have used it in their home such a long time ago?"

Wonderful character. Every old thing has a story ~ we may not know the story, but we can imagine it and appreciate it.

Ah, the joys of summer, traveling, heading to the beach or pool for a cool dip, grilling and just enjoying time with family.

Every season holds something special that make us glad there are changes. We look forward to each new one and rejoice in all of the beauty the last one left behind.
