Guys ~ Don't forget Valentines Day Feb. 14th

~ Just great stuff ~

Real Friends...

When you come to my house I expect you to be yourself, to act yourself and to enjoy yourself. I recieved this great little email the other day that says it all.
You can't live in the fear that something is going to get dirty broken or rumpled. You have to put down the brooms and mops and know that your friends don't expect you to be perfect.
Feel free to copy and paste this and send it to your friends.
A simple friend when visiting, acts like a guest. A real friend opens your refrigerator and helps himself (and doesn't feel even the least bit weird shutting your 'beer/Pepsi drawer' with her foot!)
A simple friend has never seen you cry. A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.
A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names. A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.
A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party. A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.
A simple friend hates it when you call after they've gone to bed. A real friend asks you why you took so long to call.
A simple friend seeks to talk with you about your problems. A real friend seeks to help you with your problems.
A simple friend wonders about your romantic history. A real friend could blackmail you with it.
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument. A real friend calls you after you had a fight.
A simple friend expects you to always be there for them. A real friend expects to always be there for you!

If you like it, buy it ~ it will get away

How many times have you walked out of a store and said if it was meant to be it will be here when I get back? I know I can't even count the times I have said those very words.
You know what happens, you get home, think about it and say I will go back this weekend, it's just 2 days away surely no one else loved it as much as me. But lo and behold, it's gone! Now what?
You will think about that one piece, that precious little collection or that wonderful painting and make yourself crazy trying to happen upon something just like it.
My New Years resolution is BUY IT NOW! Believe me I am not a big spender so I am not talking about thousand dollar pieces, I'm talking about something as small as a cat figurine that reminds me of childhood.
Now repeat after me... BUY IT NOW!

Incredible architectural windows ~ so many great uses

These wonderful feather balls look great in an old bowl ~tuck in a few old
photos for an unusual display

What makes a house a home?

Anyone who loves antiques or just the vintage look knows the feeling it gives you in your own home. Even when friends come by, they may not understand it, but believe me they feel it as well.
The warm feeling that is hard to explain, living with things you love, the love of days gone by and a slower pace which these days is something everyone should think about.
Ms. Wendy's offers so many great pieces that remind us just how important possesion meant to the original owners and the care they took in these pieces so that we could enjoy them for days to come.

Even with all this unpredictable weather it's never to early to start thinking spring.
Ms. Wendy's ladies are already thinking spring with their great new offerings ~ Get by soon, it will be worth a trip.
One thing to get you thinking spring is an awesome black iron table and chairs, table with glass top and chairs to compliment in black and white toile cushions. What a perfect patio set this would make and big enough to entertain.
Thinking about re-doing a boring kitchen into those ever popular black and whites, wait until you see the unbelievable hoosier cabinet in move-in & useable condition.
Then add this cute little telephone table and you have a wonderful vintage look.
