Garden Girl

Kay Polk is one of our antique dealers (there are four ladies and Wendy's husband Jerry) you probably have already met in our store. She enjoys playing golf and bridge, gardening and hunting down the best antiques for you to treasure. Her and her husband, Bobby, have an amazing garden which they have created with alot of sweat, ice tea and vintage inspiration.
Here are some pics of their garden from the Pike Co. Garden Club tour of which they are members.

It may be hard to notice in this pic but Kay and Bobby have many birdhouses, some erected upon old newell posts or fence posts.

I love Kay's koi pond! It is so relaxing to hear the water trickling into the pond and the occasional flick of tail and fins.

Iron gates and old brick foundation pieces make for interesting backdrops to showcase nature's beauties.

Does this concrete head look familiar? You can find these and many other concrete pieces on our garden path at Ms. Wendy's.

Vintage signage adds such charm to a garden.

Kay's son made this free form arbor for one of her many garden plots. Very talented!

Before you cast off old chairs, you may want to consider using them as planters as Kay has done. Just attach some chicken wire or screen to the bottom and fill with your favorite blooms.

Showcase your favorite statue in a bird bath to add height and drama.

Thank you Kay and Bobby for letting us take a stroll through your enchanting garden!

Timeless Treasures

If you desire to have a signature look or a piece of the past which warms a forgotten memory, Ms. Wendy's offers treasures that are timeless and unique.

Dress forms are perfect for displaying treasures and jewelry or stand alone for a unique vintage statement.

We have various vintage containers and awesome hat boxes which you could use to store more than the millinery of yesteryear.

Cloches, urns and mirrors, oh my! The more textures you layer in a room, the more inviting it becomes. Thank you to all of the photography students who give us props for our vignettes and stop by to take pics for their projects!

Vintage silver on its own is beautiful. But did you know these vessels would also make great vases and desk organizers? Need a neat find to control clutter - we are glad to help you find the perfect item that is repurposed with new life.

We dig architectural salvage!

Check out these awesome leather bags!

Neat retro tissue cover!

While our creamers are collectible, they would be perfect for housing small objects such as paper clips, pens, Q-tips, hair pins, etc.

Awesome iron plant holders!

This bench is stunning! Handcrafted from an antique headboard and footboard, it is truly a one-of-a-kind treasure.

I love this vintage task/desk lamp! It would be great for a kid's desk or home office space.

Summertime entertaining - Ms. Wendy's style ` ` :)

Need a little vintage kitsch in the kitchen?

Our botanical, magnet calendars have been going like hotcakes! We just got a fresh batch so stop by to check them out!

We are getting in the spirit of good ole' summertime!

Such sweet pottery vases - love the color! Use to display the season's blooms or corral pens, combs, toothbrushes, etc.

The wall vase below could be used for the same above yet give your more countertop space as you organize vertically.

The use of mirrors offers not only additional light in a room but also enhances the feeling of a larger space. We have a beautiful array of vintage mirrors to grace your home.

Such a sweet chair covered in a lucious velveteen fabric.

Need a vintage father's day gift? Pick some shaving soap from the Market on Main (two doors down from us) and add one of our vintage shaving mugs and brushes for a unique gift just for Dad.

Yes, it is both a hat and a lamp! Sweet lavendar illumination with a clear glass base - givin' a shout out to the shabby sisters here!

Awesome baskets - for both storage and charm!

Sweet baby bumpers! How sweet would this be to display a doll collection or hold towels in a bathroom!

Wicker and summer seem to go hand in hand. We have various pieces like chairs, vanities and light fixtures to add some sunshine to a room.
